When Sophie came to me with 20 lines of text, I got to work to create a finished product that my niece could now hold in her little baby hands.
Caracter Design
Since Sophie didn’t provide any specific guidance on the characters, I seized the opportunity to illustrate otters. I’d like to introduce Pachou, Macha, and Miss Petits Pois.
Redundant Gimmick
I integrated a chick on every page of the book. The goal was to have a subtle, recurring detail that kept the content engaging, even after multiple readings..
Research
The initial step was creating the entire world of Miss Petits Pois.
Sales through an E-shop
For the pre-order setup, I created an e-boutique. You can actually visit it here, as we used my own website for this sale.
Communication
Since the book was self-published, I also handled all the communication: posters, Facebook, and Instagram posts.
